WEST CHAZY, NY-Philip L. Dupras, 69, of Ashley Road, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on March 22, 1948, the son of John and Lucille (Lefevre) Dupras, II.

Philip served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1971. He married the former Kim Davies on December 28, 1974 in Dannemora, NY.

Philip began working at the CVPH Medical Center in 1975 and retired as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room after 38 years of service. He was also a lifetime member of the NRA.

Philip loved spending time working around the house. His greatest joy was the time spent with his loving family, especially when they would all have Sunday Dinner together.

Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Kim Dupras of West Chazy; his three children, Jessica Simmons and Larry Barnaby of West Chazy, Casey Dupras of West Chazy, and Brady Dupras and his wife Jessica of Mooers; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, David Dupras, Sr., William Dupras and his wife Nancy, Michael Dupras and his wife Billine, and Robert Dupras; one sister and brother-in-law, Myra Brooks and her husband Ronald; one sister-in-law, Marie Dupras; six grandchildren, Alexa Taylor, Bryana Simmons, Jacob Simmons, Caely Dupras, Olivia Dupras, and Myra Dupras; and several nieces and nephews.

Philip was predeceased by his parents and one brother, John “Jack” Dupras, III.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Plattsburgh United Methodist Church on Beekman Street.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center at the CVPH Medical Center.
